Books By My Favorite Authors That I Still Need to Read

– some of these are authors I’d classify as favorites as I’ve read many books by them, but some are series I love that I need to finish or continue with, and I’m including these too because I love that the authors wrote these awesome books! If there are links for any of these, they take you to my previous reviews!ย

1. Overexposed by Megan Erickson (read and loved the first three books – they are all companion novels. I do really love this author and I own this one as an e-book!)
2. The Grownup by Gillian Flynn (a favorite author for sure, and this novella is one I still need to read, but I own it)
3. Invictus by Ryan Graudin (love her Wolf by Wolf duology – need to get a copy of this one)
4. Trust With a Chaser by Annabeth Albert (I love this author and I still need to start this new series; need to buy an e-book)
5. The Fourth Ruby by James R. Hannibel (I read the first book in this MG series, The Lost Property Office, and I need the second one ASAP)
6. The Missing Guests of the Magic Grove Hotel by David Casarett (read and loved the first book in the series – mystery novels! Need a copy ASAP)
7. The Legend of the Golden Raven: A Novella of The Wicker King by K. Ancrum (I LOVED The Wicker King, and while this is a novella and not a full-length, I still need to read it).
8. 84K by Claire North (I’ve wanted to read this one for awhile now – need to get a copy – as it sounds amazing. I’ve read and loved The Sudden Appearance of Hope by this author).
9. Neverworld Wake by Marisha Pessl (I’ve read her adult novel, Night Film, and I’m so curious about this one – need a copy).
10. Caught in Time by Julie McElwain (I’ve read and loved the first two in this series (second book review to come soon!) and I am SO excited for the third book – need a copy. This series is the only one the author has written so far, so I can call her a favorite author for sure!).

Have you read any of these? Do you want to?

  1. So I haven’t read Night Film nor Neverworld Wake, but I read Special Topics in Calamity Physics years ago and it was, for me, what I Cather in the Rye is for others. I could never get behind Catcher, didn’t get the hype. But Special Topics seemed more right to me.

  2. I haven’t read any of them – I am not sure if I”m even familiar with any of those authors! I obviously need to look into them! Thanks for sharing this list! Always looking for more reads!

  3. I haven’t read any of these either. The Gillian Flynn one intrigues me. I want to read Barbara Kingsolver’s newest (out next month I think)!

  4. I need to read Gillian Flynn! And oh my gosh 84k- I totally forgot about that! I had that on my list for a while and somehow I never got it, slipped under my radar I guess. I liked that premise… I’ll have to go see how much it is. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. I really really liked Gillian Flynn’s Gone Girl – it totally helped me break a reading slump! I need to read Sharp Objects so I can watch the show! LOL! Happy reading!

  6. Omg I need to read SOMETHING by Ryan Graudin!! Everyone raves about her work and I’ve touched none of it yet whoops. But I do own Wolf By Wolf so I’ll get to that! And the K. Ancrum novella was afjdkslad amazing. It’s mostly from Jack’s POV! And it’s super short so it’d only take you half a minute. ??

  7. Pessl is the only author on your list I have read before. I really liked her Nightfilm book. I think all of these sound wonderful though. A few of these are on my wish list. I hope you get to them all at some point! We can never keep up, can we. Though we have fun trying! Have a great weekend.
